Arizona Diamondbacks Reinstate All-Star Ketel Marte from Injured List

The Long-Awaited Return

After nearly two months away due to a hamstring injury, All-Star second baseman Ketel Marte has been reinstated from the injured list and is expected to make his return to the Arizona Diamondbacks lineup on Friday. Marte, who was batting .310 with five home runs and 21 RBIs at the time of his injury, is a key piece of the Diamondbacks' offense and his return is a major boost for the team.

A Lingering Injury

Marte initially injured his hamstring on May 29th and was placed on the injured list the following day. He attempted to return to the lineup on June 24th, but aggravated the injury and was placed back on the injured list. Marte has been rehabbing the injury ever since and is now deemed healthy enough to return to game action.

Marte is one of the Diamondbacks' most productive hitters and his return will provide a much-needed boost to the team's offense.
