Capital A CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, who is also AirAsia's strategic advisor, disclosed the airline's plans during a recent event in Kota Kinabalu. He emphasized the importance of investing in nature-based solutions as part of AirAsia's long-term sustainability strategy.

Fernandes stated that AirAsia is exploring various carbon offset projects in Sabah, including reforestation initiatives and the protection of critical ecosystems. By supporting such projects, the airline aims to neutralize its carbon emissions and contribute to the preservation of Sabah's biodiversity.
