Dan Hurley joked that he can't take the Kentucky job because it would move his wife further away from New Jersey, becoming the latest coach to turn down the Wildcats.
Hurley has been rumored to be a candidate for the Kentucky job since John Calipari stepped down. But he has repeatedly said that he is happy at UConn and has no plans to leave.
In a recent interview, Hurley was asked about the Kentucky job. He joked that he couldn't take the job because it would move his wife further away from New Jersey.
"My wife would kill me," Hurley said. "She's from New Jersey. She loves it here. She doesn't want to move."
Hurley's wife, Andrea Hurley, is a former basketball player at Villanova. The couple has three children.
Hurley is one of the most successful coaches in college basketball. He has led UConn to two national championships in the past three years.
