In the vast world of digital finance, the terms "crypto" and "Bitcoin" often get thrown around interchangeably. However, there's a crucial distinction between the two that's worth understanding.
When you say "crypto," you're referring to all crypto assets or currencies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin. These assets use cryptography, a secure and complex mathematical system, to protect and verify transactions and control the creation of new units.
On the other hand, Bitcoin is a specific type of cryptocurrency that was created in 2009 by an anonymous individual or group known as Satoshi Nakamoto. It's the first and most well-known cryptocurrency, and it remains the most valuable in terms of market capitalization.
So, while Bitcoin is a type of crypto, not all cryptos are Bitcoins. Just like all cars are vehicles, not all vehicles are cars.
